On Saturday, May 5, 2018, our chapter will present Jay and Renee Haladay with the Living and Giving Award; an award that is presented to outstanding philanthropists, not only to JDRF, but to our community at large.
Jay and Renee met in college at UCLA relocating to the Portland area 25 years ago after career stops in Virginia and Florida. Jay was responsible for developing Viewpoint Construction Software into one of Oregon’s largest software firms. As Viewpoint's CEO and Chairman of the Board, he was recognized as Technology Executive of the Year in 2013. After over 40 years in the technology field, Jay retired in 2015. Jay and Renee have four children and their seventh grandchild is on the way. More recently, the close-knit family created 10 Branch to mentor and invest in early stage companies and to support their family’s entrepreneurial ventures. The Haladay’s, along with their children’s families, are all residents of Lake Oswego.
